You Can Be The Fragrance Of Christ

Would you like a quick and easy idea for loving your neighbor?
My sister delivered some of her home grown roses to a neighbor. I know that It’s simple, but I also know her neighbor appreciated them. My sister’s home grown roses invited the neighbor to lean into them and savor their fragrance immediately. They brought a hospitable visit and an instant blessing to my sister’s neighbor. And the beauty will last for days inside her home.
The flowers are called Belinda’s Dream Roses. The vase is a spaghetti sauce jar wrapped in a lunch bag and a tied bow. So simple. So lovely.
Another variation you could add to this is some glossy Modge Podge to shine up the bag a bit, but it is outstanding the way it is. You may not have roses, but if you do, this is an easy, quick idea for sharing God’s beauty with others. It’s recyclable since the jar can collect something like coins or place a candle inside. Even the bag is useful to ripen fruit or clean your window.

But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads in every place the fragrance that comes from knowing him. For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing; to the one a fragrance from death to death, to the other a fragrance from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things?
