Dear Faithful Readers,

Is it Christmas in your part of the world? It is still Christmas Eve here. I had hoped to write an article about pain during the Christmas season, but although I started it, I could not finish it.

I know it is not an easy time of year for many. My dad passed on to heaven on Christmas Eve years ago. Although I miss him, I rarely feel sadness. I was happy the Lord relieved him of his present suffering. He was not conscious when he died, but I like to think he heard me singing Christmas carols as the monitor numbers decreased. But the greatest hope I have in my heart is that he knew Jesus personally and went straight to be with Him at his final breath. If you miss loved ones, I hope you have the same assurance and do not grieve as those without hope(I Thessalonians 4:13).

I hope you will read my blog if you find yourself alone or lonely over the next few days. I have many articles on anxiety and articles about hope. Wherever you find yourself during these special days, please remember that if you know Jesus, you have the greatest gift of life! He is the best. He loves you the most. He knows your name and where you are on the planet. You are loved by the One True God, you have a friend in Jesus, and the precious Holy Spirit empowers your life. You have value, and your identity is in Him alone. He is worthy.

So, happy birthday to Jesus, and thank you for coming to earth to die for my sins. Thank you for rising from the dead and for the victory you give me in you. You are alive, and I praise your holy Name.
