Two verses speak of the concept of fear of the Lord. Both are right next to one another but in different chapters. The first is:

Psalms 111:10 CSB
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His instructions have good insight. His praise endures forever.”

The second is:

Psalms 112:1 CSB
“Hallelujah! Happy is the person who fears the Lord, taking great delight in His commands.”

These two verses go together. The fear of the LORD is nothing to fear. It is simply reverence and honor. You will be happy when you have a proper view of God. And each verse says the fear of the LORD is the correct view.
How do you get a proper view? The instructions and commands are in His Word. Then pray and ask Him to help you to delight in obeying Him. You will receive wisdom and be able to follow His instructions from His Word. Acting in obedience, you will gain insight. You will want to praise Him. You will say, “Hallelujah!”
