Prayer Prompts for Trials

Dear Reader,

Whatever you’re going through now, I hope in the Lord that my sheet of prayer prompts will help you start praying through your trial. I think sometimes we hold our breath through a trial. We want it to be over, and we grit our teeth and try to plow through it. The only problem with that is that often the trial doesn’t go away. We don’t know how long it will last. And we aren’t turning to our loving Savior for the help He alone can provide. We are missing all His treasures and gifts that He has for those who will turn to Him. That’s why I made the sheet. Let it be a stepping-off point for wonderful fellowship with our Lord. He will help you.

PRAYER PROMPTS FOR TRIALS:

Lord, if I caused any part of the trial, I ask Your forgiveness.

Forgive me, Lord, for putting my hope in any situation or person. Help me to put all my hope in You.

Lord, help me not to waste time complaining, but to learn to pray more deeply and appreciate Your Word more.

Lord, when my emotions are bigger than the truth, help me to fall to my knees and cry to You for help.

Lord, thank you for the peace that passes understanding. It is a gift that never fails because You are my peace.

Help me, Lord, to remember to sing your praises and teach me how to pray through the trial.

God, display your power in my trial.

Time is important to You, Lord, so help me not to hate the waiting.

PROVISION THROUGH TRIALS:

Thank you for Your Holy Spirit who works in me.

Thank you for my wonderful church.

Thank you for (a gift or talent you have) that I can work on while I wait for you to work out this problem.

Thank you for giving me people to pray for. Remind me to pray for them.

Thank you that I can follow You, and that You will provide for me.

Thank you for my salvation. No trial can take that away.
